Meet the Doctor
Dr. Anthony Heaverlo grew up in Wausau, Wisconsin and graduated from East High School, where he played hockey and was on the debate team. He went on to achieve his undergraduate degree in biology, and minor in chemistry, at the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point, where he was president of the Tae Kwon Do Club.
He received his doctorate from North Western Health Science University in Bloomington, Minnesota in 2012. He is now in practice at Collins Chiropractic, P.A. in Prior Lake, Minnesota.
Dr. Heaverlo first experienced the benefits of chiropractic after his freshman year at Stevens Point. After a summer of sleeping on a futon, he developed constant pain in his low back that was so severe that he was taking ibuprofen daily and could no longer compete in martial arts. His mother suggested that he visit a chiropractor, and after one visit, to his surprise, the pain had completely resolved. After that experience, he changed his major, and started his journey to become a doctor of chiropractic.
Dr. Heaverlo's philosophy on care is simple, "Do what is best for the patient". He employs a wide variety of techniques ranging from manual adjustments, soft tissues work, stretching and physiotherapy. He encourages feedback from patients in order to help provide the best experience and achieve the greatest results.
